Done with Photoshop Elements 7.

This was the sixth poster I created in the Harry Potter/Avatar 'spoof' poster collection. This one splices Avatar with "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".

This, sorry to say, isn't really the best work of the series, I realize. It was put together in a bit of a hurry, and the background (you'll notice) is quite low-quality. This is because it came from the Avatar: A Survival Guide book; it's a picture of what earth looks like in the year 2154. Though this senario was presented in the Collector's Edition of the film, it didn't show the grandeur of it all (except the amount of people).

The credits are (again) finely detailed enough for a second look. However, one will notice how they look a little lopsided. I'm guessing that rotating them in Photoshop wasn't all it would take for them to look perfectly aligned, but as I said, this was put together in a hurry.

The title itself (Jake Sully) was the title I've spent the most work on as compared to all the other posters. VERY detailed. I wanted it to look just like the original. Sadly, I couldn't get all of it in as well as I thought I could, so some of the painstaking work I put into it is not shown because it either didn't completely fit on the poster (as represented in the original), or because Jake's head is in the way. To the onlooker, it looks pretty cool, I understand. But there's so much more to be seen in it that I couldn't include. Oh well.

Jake's face looks a little strange, too... I think it's because you can tell how the actual face used, as opposed to the eyes and the rest of the body, doesn't match EXACTLY. Just mentioning it to note that I do understand some of the oddities about Jake, not to mention the other characters.

As before, each character is represented as in the original poster: [link]

Harry Potter -- Jake Sully
Hermione Granger -- Trudy
Ron Weasley -- Neytiri (Based on the first poster)
Dumbledore -- Eytukan

The total number of work hours is unknown. Screencapping (again) was difficult because I had no idea what I'd use next for the characters. After 5 posters, you really don't have much left, depending on the poses the characters are in. Happily, I found a way.

I'm not sure whether or not I'll be working on the first "Deathly Hallows" poster after this. Hopefully, I will, completing the series. But as of now, I only have one suitable screencap of Jake. I don't know what I'm going to do with the other two characters. Thank God the only people in the 7th poster are Harry, Hermione, and Ron. But the fact that they're in a running position makes it quite tough for me to do. As I said, I only have one good screenshot to work with right now. In later times, I might find more. But until then, enjoy these six!

Are those posters suppose to be funny?

If yes, then well, I don't think they are. They doesn't work for me also as serious idea.

Actually, when I originally posted these on another website, I was surprised how many people thought they were "hilarious." Of course, I didn't mind... but I was going for a more, "Wow, that's really amazing" type of response.

So no, they aren't meant to be funny; most people just assume that. :)
